Medicnet collects what is required from the following personal and health information:

- procedure details
- payment details
The information is received as required from:
- your medical service provider
- Medicare
- your health fund
- yourself
The information is either entered directly into the website by the above or via contact with Medicnet staff.
How personal information is used
The information is collected for the purpose of generating, submitting and receiving payment for medical procedures. The information is stored so that your medical service provider has a record of the procedure.
Any credit card details supplied by you are used the one time to take payment for your procedure.

Your personal information may be disclosed in a number of circumstances including the following:

Storage and security of personal information

When your personal information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained we will take reasonable steps to dispose of or permanently de-identify any records we keep. Any credit card details supplied by you are not stored by Medicnet but instead by the card processing service Eway.
Access to your Personal Information
You may access the personal information we hold about you to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your personal information, please contact us by email. Medicnet will not charge any fee for your access request, but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your personal information. In order to protect your personal information we will require identification from you before releasing the requested information.
