Non-operative Anaesthetic Invoices

To create a non-operative anaesthetic invoice select Add Non-operative Anaesthetic Invoice from the Invoices section of the top menu.
First enter the patient details. If you have invoiced the patient before possible matches will be displayed once you have entered the patient name and date of birth.
Medicnet provides a shared database of funds, referring providers and hospitals which you can access for your invoices.
To import the referring provider into the invoice, just start typing their name in the box, then when they appear, use your arrow keys to scroll down and select their name, hit enter and they will be imported into the invoice. If you can not find your referrer in the list then you can add a new one by clicking the 'add new provider' link under the box.
Updates to the referrer details are done by Medicnet. Use the contact form to provide any detail corrections and updates.

Use the same method to import the fund and hospital. Select none - in rooms as the hospital for outpatient consultations.

The following two sections of the form allow you to add consultation, callback and other items.

The final section provides options for adding a gap. When adding a gap select which type of informed financial consent you obtained from the patient.

Once the invoice is complete, save it. If you have not got all the information, don't worry, you can edit it later. Missing information is displayed in a list, like below, at the top of the saved invoice. Once this list is cleared the invoice is ready to be sent.

Before sending an invoice check all patient and item details as the invoice can not be altered after being sent without having to contact Medicare and the health fund.

Once sent the top of the invoice will contain some new details.

You can download and print the assignment advice for bulk bill claims, lodgement advice for fund claims or d1216 statement for DVA claims by clicking on the green text. Clicking the processing report link will take you to a page showing details of the payment to be expected and any processing problems. This information is normally available a day or two after the invoice has been sent.
